Laser Cutting, Laser Profiling, Water Jet Cutting

Guttridge Laserfab is the sub-contract sheet metal fabrication division of Lincolnshire based Guttridge Services Limited.

Our latest CNC laser profiling machinery extends our laser cutting capacity to 20mm stainless steel laser cutting, 12mm aluminium laser cutting and 25mm mild steel laser cutting.

We are proud of our ability to offer a complete laser cutting and laser profiling package from concept through computer aided design and prototyping to volume production. Many of our customers use just some of the facilities we offer and we are equally happy to handle small and large batch runs on our CNC laser cutting machines.

Modern computer systems and software allow production to be tightly controlled using the latest technology to track and control all jobs as they progress through manufacture. Our Purchasing Department uses the same systems to automate and control purchasing, whilst the Sales Department monitors job status and costings. We also use integrated software to manage contacts, for both existing and potential customers of subcontract fabrication and sheet metal work.

Lean manufacturing initiatives are a key part of our improvement programme, helping us to develop new and imaginative ways of cutting cost from our manufacturing and administrative operations. Since early 2002, we have introduced new initiatives involving management staff in close, hands-on collaborative projects with manufacturing staff.

The recent acquisition of Leicester Water Jet means we are able extend our range of sub-contract services from Laserfab by adding a waterjet cutting capability as well as a new Leicester base. The water jet cutting process relies on a precise, high pressure jet of water, usually with added abrasive media. Waterjet cuts materials as diverse as steel, aluminium, brass, plastic, rubber, stone, ceramic, glass, and composites at thicknesses up to 250mm - best of all, there´s no heat involved, so no burning, no heat affected zone and no work hardening more....

Type of work undertaken

Subcontract Fabrication

Subcontract fabrications, from one-off blanks of simple or complex designs to small, medium or large batch quantities with additional pressings, welding or general fabrication as required - from a few grams to 5 tonnes.

Stainless Steel Laser Cutting

Mild steel or stainless steel laser cutting finish polished, painted or galvanised as appropriate. Please see our CNC steel laser cutting page.

Sheet Metal Fabrication

We provide subcontract sheet metal fabrication services to industry sectors as diverse as pharmaceuticals and vehicle manufacturers, from the smallest company to the best known house-hold name companies.

Pre- & post-contract sales support

Our specialist sales team is available to visit, advise and prepare quotations for clients at no obligation. We like to encourage full customer involvement and our aim is to develop long term relationships with our customers for mutual benefit. We are constantly striving to improve quality whilst at the same time endeavoring toreduce costs by improving our efficiency and the manufacturing techniques that we use.

Technical Support

All aspects of design, programming, manufacture and communications are highly computerised, we use the latest software and hardware to ensure we stay up to date.
